EUR 4 MILLION IN FUNDING FOR SMES IN SMART MOBILITY

frontierCities has €4m in funding available for start ups, SMEs and web entrepreneurs to develop smart mobility applications.

Applicants should develop an application using FIWARE that targets the need of a European City in the area of smart mobility.

The applications open on November 20th and close on January 12th. The applications take place in a two-step process. Step one is a very simple 5 question application form and takes no more than 15 minutes to apply. If you are successful at step one, you will be invited to step two to submit a more details application around march.

Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2015 will be held in Milan in March 2015, immediately before the beginning of the EXPO 2015.

The GEC is an inter-disciplinary gathering of startup champions from all around the world. During the meeting, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, thought leaders and policymakers work together to help bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.

The 4-day events will bring to Italy thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and innovators from more than 140 countries worldwide, offering extraordinary opportunity for sharing ideas, networking and business and to understand what works and what does not work, to form a variety of options for mutually beneficial cooperation.

The second #ACESummit will be taking place in Milan in partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2015 hosted by our partner META Group.

As in 2014, the ACE Summit will introduce the most innovative ICT SMEs and startups selected by ACE to investors, mentors and potential partners in other European markets. The Summit also aims at identifying opportunities for cross-border investment in Europe and provide investor readiness training and pitching sessions for the ACE startups.

CONNECT is an entrepreneurship programme coordinated by EBN and supported by the European Commission, targeted at European new entrepreneurs starting up businesses with the potential to grow internationally.

Selected entrepreneurs will embark on a fulfilling exchange scheme in Brazil, where they will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from an experienced host entrepreneur, either in a successful enterprise or in a business incubator, during a period of generally 3 months. This is a win-win collaboration, through which the entrepreneurs will exchange knowledge and ideas and discover new markets and business partners...

The ESA App Camp is inviting app developers to unique events where they can meet with like-minded people and tackle some of the world’s greatest challenges. Those interested can join in by attending one of the six Appathons being held at ESA BIC and partner locations across Europe on 24-25 Jan 2015. The ESA App Camp is organised by Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO) on behalf of the European Space Agency and sponsored by SAP University Alliances. It is furthermore supported by awesome partners in six countries to make the pre-selection Appathons a great experience. The winning team of each local Appathon will be invited to the ESA App Camp in Barcelona culminating at the Mobile World Congress. Registration is open until 19 Jan 2015 at www.app-camp.eu.
